The Kentuckiana Gay Phonebook is locally owned and independently published once a year. The phonebook was a working project for Brian Alan Hill on paper for a couple of years. Brian Alan Hill is a promotion consultant based in Louisville, Kentucky.
It was originally titled the Kentuckiana Gay Yellow Pages and officially launched in February 2007. The first issue was published in June 2007, see image below. Shortly, after the first issue was published a letter was received from another publisher noting that she had trademarked the phrase "gay yellow" and use was restricted. Brian Hill decided to simply change the name of the directory instead of pursuing a costly legal situation.
The second edition was published in December of 2007 under the new banner of The Kentuckiana Gay Phonebook. |

The Kentuckiana Gay Phonebook is a yellow pages based directory that helps Gay Louisville connect with gay and gay-friendly businesses, service providers and community groups in the Metro Louisville and Southern Indiana area.
